AT&F's
presence in India is an exciting endeavor for our firm. The greatest
thing that we have to offer the Indian marketplace is not the steel
fabrications that are in great demand. Rather, it is the knowledge and
management discipline that are our most valuable products. These have
served us well in the US for more than seventy years. If we are to
succeed in India, we must manage the business in ways that are
consistent with the foundations of AT&F's US business model of providing
Customers with high quality work in a highly ethical and efficient
manner.
We will demand detailed documentation of work systems and processes. We believe this reflects the discipline of the work environment and is immediately evident in our products and to our Customers. Complete and thorough documentation of processes also enables us to review, analyze and learn after the project is complete. AT&F India will replicate our proven methods of documentation and traceability. This differentiates us from other fabricators and gives us a competitive edge in a demanding Indian market. We must be steadfast and creative in our approach to these situations.
Additionally, our aim is to make optimal use of labor and minimize the turnaround time for projects thus allowing us to pursue more and more opportunities. This means that we introduce state of the art technologies, special tools and the large capacity equipment. We will. Push the limits of scope, scale and precision. We should begin pursing this even as we manage our subcontractor's activities.
As we approach projects in India, please be aware that is our intent to be noticeably different and to be so in ways that will prove that less is often more in terms of labor, and that speed rules, while we maintain accuracy and accountability through documentation and control.
